The Olympics is over and here comes the Cheap T-Shirts

Just like that, 4 years in the making and it’s over in two weeks. I can only imagine what China must be going through I can remember the hangover Sydney experienced after the Olympics. People were on a high for the rest of the year and then like magic the mood changed. China spent billions on the games and on PR but we all know what the lasting images of the games will be. With the games are over we can all now afford some cheap Olympic clothing including souvenir t-shirts. Who is going to pay full price for merchandise during the games when all you have to do is wait a couple of weeks and you can purchase it at half-price.

I think many big name American companies have been caught out by the lack of sales in Olympic merchandise. In China many large sporting companies are hoping that the Chinese will embrace the post Olympic blues and start buying up merchandise. An article in The Wall St Journal explained that businesses such as Nike and Adidas have experienced slow sales during the event. The cost of products has to be the main reason for the slow sales. Now that the Olympics is over it’s time for the discounting to begin. While the Olympics have been popular on television people have been slow to rush out and buy any type of Olympic clothing. Will the trend change now that the Olympics are over? If you can’t find any cheap Olympic clothing but are after some seriously cheap NYC clothing check-out the full range at R.A.G.

Look what a cheap outfit can do to your confidence

If you’ve been following the basketball at this Olympics you would know the damage the mighty Dream Team has caused on nations. Today, it was Australia’s turn to experience the full-force of the US team and the end result was not pretty. If you don’t know, the Dream Team is a selection of the NBA’s best players. The best Dream Team ever picked was the one of the 92 Olympics, which contained stars like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird to name a few. Comparisons have been made with this year’s team in the way the team has demolished the opposition.

Getting back to Australia, naturally they were the underdogs but there was another issue affecting their performance. It was their uniforms! Yes, reports coming out of Australia that the uniforms had made the players feel uncomfortable and even embarrassed. The player’s confidence was zapped even before the first basket was thrown. Why, the Australians teams’ uniform was bright yellow, the players were warming up with yellow t-shirts, baggy shorts and a collection of white and black socks. Compared to Dream Team who came out wearing immaculate looking tracksuits, everything was in place they looked like the ‘Dream Team’.

We all know what a killer outfit can do for your confidence and I’m not surprised the Aussie’s were off their game. But, when you’re up against the best team in the world at least you want to look your best, even if you’re going to lose the game! The Aussie team should’ve rejected the cheap looking Olympic designed gear and went to the store to buy something different! At least enter the court wearing some cool designed t-shirts, haven’t you learnt anything from the American’s, dress for success. Better luck next-time boys!

Look Good on the Cheap

The return to school advertisements have already begun and everyone is scrambling to find trendy clothes but on the cheap! So where do you find cheap clothes? Well, retailers have come to the party, with new ranges of clothes aimed at the discount market. University students have been known to frequent thrift stores for their clothing requirements. The trick to finding good quality bargains at thrift stores is by choosing a rich neighborhood. One popular spot in NYC is Park Slope, your guaranteed to find good quality garments at stupid prices. Cheap clothing is to be found everywhere, you just have to get out there and look.

Free T-Shirts

I bet the title made you curious to see what I was talking about? In these dark and gloomy days we're all suppose to be experiencing I was curious to see if there was such a thing as 'free t-shirts' and to my astonishment there is. Companies on the internet are giving away free t-shirts in return for advertising. Basically, you’re a walking billboard for the company. Korea’s local online auction site has experienced massive growth since a number of companies starting offering t-shirts for under $1, some stores have sold over 24,000 t-shirts. The slowdown in the economy has hit fashion sales with middle of the road stores being most affected. Discounted clothing and thrift stores are the only sector to grow as people turn to them for their clothes shopping requirements. If you can afford it, the time is now to to buy cheap clothing, retailers are selling clothes at ridiculously low prices.
